SILVER SHAME LANE

Contributed by alicewhite on Friday, 23rd May 2014 @ 09:40:26 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Silver Silver Silver Shame
Down the lane and back again
I drive my car and myself insane
My pathetic attempt at dulling the pain
My mind cant keep still thoughts race through my brain
Wedding vows and rings washed down the drain
Silver Silver Silver Shame
You hurt as I do hurt you hurt again.

I just want to die I repeat as I cry,
I cry and I cry until my tears run dry
And Im left feeling numb and hollow inside,
The last of me gone with my shattered pride
Should i jump off the bridge, commit suicide
I contemplate calmly eyes wide shut open wide
I thought about jumping then changed my mind.
Dead inside
Id already died.

Truly a sad day...
never let that sadness blot out the fact that you deserve better.
Heartfelt.
Thanks for sharing...

Lovely and sorrowful. No one wins when relationships dissolve. It stings of failure. A lovely canvas totally erased. Be patient with yourself.. You'll know the worst is over when sadness turns to sarcasm.

Nice write, I especially liked the last two lines
"Dead Inside
I'd already died"
which tied it up rather nicely.
I will look forward to more.

Steve
