My ill fated friend
A stranger among the crowd
Your face and voice still recognizable
The way you move around
You body sways as the music dances
In a trance of shadows
I grab you closer
A healthy heat enters my heart

Not much is needed
The necessary components are intact
We await on nothing now
I dare you not look back
Entrenched in this process
My future is under attack
Taking blows
Doing damage
Falling
But always getting up

Put your arm around my shoulder
We walk through the battlefield of life
Tread carefully on the cool grass
Tirelessly this night can not last
With a new sun
Change is upon
Anyone who reaches out has already begun
To ascend towards a heaven
Where the god of the earth waits on no one
When the time has come
You will know
It's done
As the parts become
Greater than their perpetual sum

You have woven a tapestry out of broken pieces and made a whole out of abstract emotions..
You seem a sculptor of passions. Seeing patterns in dancing shadows..
"we walk through he battlefield of life..tread carefully on the cool grass" are my favorite lines!
I honestly don't get the title..but it brought me to read it!!! And the pleasure was all mine.

Reading your work is always like a breath of fresh air for me. Whether the poem as a whole affects me, or just a line grabs me and takes me on a ride. I often get something different from each write, and sometimes even have a different take when I re-read one of your writes. One thing that never changes is the fact that I always want more.

Okay, I'm done, (but I mean it).
