Just over a year ago.
We had nothing to show.
We arrived in our land.
With barely nothing in hand.
With just the clothes on our back.
And no place of our own not even a shack.
Family took us in gave us warm beds.
A plate of food and a roof over our heads.
Then the job hunting began.
There was no real strategy or plan.
Just going for anything.
What ever luck would bring.
Things got worse from day to day.
Then we asked God to come lead the way.
He carried us over rough seas.
Turned howling winds into a cool breeze.
Gave us a humble home.
Yes truly one of our own.
Filled it with what we need.
Even promised us we will succeed.
He holds our hand every day and night.
Takes away our fears and clears our sight.
What is here to learn?
The lamp will always burn.
In the darkest days we must follow the light.
For God will always let it burn bright.
We must cling to his word.
Some people will say this is absurd.
But trust me my friend.
If not God, on whom will we depend?

Outstanding poetry indeed
The poet is actually stunning
His placement of words
Gives awe and fear
As he plays with words
Making miraculous musing
He must be a great genius
He has pricked my pride
Which I ignorantly have
Great work that needs
More than appreciation
The apt way is to fall flat
At his holy ideas praying.
