Conjuring up worn out theories
Conspiracies, sworn enemies
Motivated by nothing
Other then what I see

Here at this place
I call home
I feel the most lost
The most alone
The most pleasant of evenings
Yet it rains in my bones
The most joyous of seasons
Yet spring is forlorn

Caressing, loving
Exploring the night
Venturing into the forbidden
The dance, the sin
Walking towards the light...
And so I was smitten
And so I was swept
Into something everlasting
Dreaming, waiting
Something fantastic
Never made it till the end

All I ever ask of my poems is to contain at least one line that I love.. This poem has a line that I love.. Where you wrote, "The most pleasant of evenings, yet it rains in my bones".. I think that's a spectacular line(s)..

Depression is a funny thing... Not funny 'haha' of course, but odd, sneaky. It lies in wait, then attacks, sometimes when we are alone in our thoughts, other times when something good is happening. The trick is in remembering that we can subdue it in many healthy ways. The 'light' is always present but we must remain conscious of it. As that (somewhat) annoying saying goes; "It is always darkest before dawn". Allow me to be a bit bold with a few coffees under my belt (on this most pleasant of mornings)... I daresay jyssvw22's 'unfinished business' is allowing himself to be loved for who he is.

A pleasure to read as always, dear poet.
