A darkened heart thou seldom sees the light.
In this spell of atrophy, this muscle beat is seldom seen.
Scorn from a depth that blinds a lovers fate.

In the mirror the face remains, darkness hidden from a mortals remains.
Memory a curse if never taught to forgive.
In the eyes pain deeply cries, scars that tear compound with lies.
True loves kiss assumes to break the curse.

Out at sea I pictured thee, a beauty fair to misery.
It kept me great with company.
I dare not see the damage done.
When i left you to chase the sun.
Forever i believed that you were there.
Now I am back by your side I see the pain you try to hide.
A Darkened tear rolls down those sullen cheeks.

To you my love.
Oh please forget.
The quest of youth should be forgive.
This hurt you hold thats ice so cold.
Let it not take you until you get old.
Give to me that gentle kiss, retrieve that heart that i foolishly left.
And let me claim it at the port.

For in time our hearts do entwine.
A strength that beats the gears of time.
For the love I have for you, is not a curse that can follow through.

Our fate is what we make.
The jewels is a lovers embrace.
Let me be the guide for better days.
You are my guiding light.
I was blind to leave you that night.
The sun only shadows the beauty that you hold.

I like this. Classical in content. May I suggest the removal of a period at every sentence? It chops it up and breaks the flow.
Wonderful stuff and a heart-rending topic.

Is a beautiful tale of what often happens to love less valued than adventure. The rare redemption is a hopeful ending. Lovely work. Blessings, SF
