where the wild meadow grasses grow.
On summer breeze the scent
of the wild yellow rose.

On yon mountains grow
the tall lofty pine
the sigh of the wind whispering
a song soft and divine.

Glint of the sun
dances soft in the tree's
Aspen leaves wave
to the Fawn, unnatural eyes cannot see.

Canyon Creek bubbles
dainty,over the rocks
little Brook Trout giggles
for they were not caught.

All of these things
remind me of you
the sun setting low
over the "Sunny Dell"

Smell of the earth
and wild Alfalfa blooms
all of these things
such a part of you.

Love you dad. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 257 [topic] => 43 [informant] => shelby [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I can see this...my mind shows the bit of rock peeking from the grass, allows me to smell the pine laden breeze, permits the sound of the bubbling stream..all because of the imagery that your lovely poem creates.
Thank you. And thanks for sharing!
