I ran away down the track
Gunning, straight down the middle
Running, from all that I lack

I became cunning, one step ahead
Always shunning, choosing me instead
Lungs exploding, push myself longer
What doesn't kill me makes me stronger

No ribbons, no medals, just deep-seated fears
Running on empty, just hoping the smoke clears
Burning rubber, chasing, racing through the years
Plow past the finish line, not stopping for cheers

Man, I'm getting tired from the chase
Can someone please just stop this race?
Not built to win, but hope to place
**** it, I'm gone, without a trace.

Big Thumbs Up [www.sherv.net]

Life is a struggle at times but there are also blessings that keep us strong. Whether we believe in God or not, I know this to be true and I think you do too.

(See what I did there? Rhyming!) wink photo cid_20464F9289AB441CB8AAF7967356146.gif

Keep writin', keep truckin'!

Damn, Scorpy.
Just ..... damn!!

This is so intense and powerful and r e a l

And holy hell, do I relate. I am overwhelmed with paranoia, anxiety and even nostalgia.
But, it's so comforting to realize that others struggle with similar everyday, real-life fears,
you know? It somehow allows us to see with more clarity. Thank you for this, my sweet,
dear friend. I love it!
