It's a synthetic world out there

A hunter gatherer that takes the train,
collecting chemicals to bleach the brain,
searching for happiness to obtain.
War is personal and always maintained,
haze of weeks, pure morning strain.
Cant think, won't think, a paradigm for the inane.
Stirring and spinning and accepting defeat,
Synthetic euphoria, mission complete.
Safe and warm with reality obsolete.

Synthetic euphoria…you said that right!
Going nowhere at top speed.
This reads like an epitaph to a road not taken.
It has a chilling message. Mission complete!
