I try not to stare, embarrassed to be so enamoured I sit, feeling the fool, several feet away

For I had sworn there was accompaniment above, an array of woodwind filtered breath floating down from a loft, pigeon chorus chiming in crrrooo crrrooo

With candy apple varnish next to french vanilla skin tapping topsy-turvy in the cool green grass

Oh no, I see you slowing down
Don't stop to talk just keep on walking
As you pass by like any other stranger
I think that's what we've become

Japanese Strings

Musical notes wafting on the breeze meeting me.
Shadowing its path I find a solitary figure bowing Japanese strings

I try not to stare, embarrassed to be so enamoured I sit, feeling the fool, several feet away
