Array ( [sid] => 177294 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Dead Of The Night.... [time] => 2013-12-09 04:48:28 [hometext] => Believe it or not. Some years back this truly happened. The devil attacked me while sleeping in my truck. In the poem it may sound as if I was brave but believe me I was afraid too. [bodytext] => 09:12:2013....

In the dead of the night.
Cloud covered sky and no moonlight.
My chest is weighed down it feels heavy.
Something or someone is trying to consume me.
The battle starts and a fiery war is raging.
What on earth is this I'm engaging.
The air feels so deadly cold.
Why can't I brake this unearthly hold?
Then I recognize this puny enemy.
We have battled before deep within me.
Lucifer show yourself you coward!
I don't fear you cause I'm empowered.
By my living God that lives within me.
Together we will drive you into the dead sea.
Back into the dark depths of hell.
Yes quiver your fear I surely smell.
How dare you sneak up like a snake.
Did you think my faith you would shake?
Your demons gouge at the cab roaring like lions.
But they will never conquer my Zion.
Outside the winds are howling.
I here them they're still prowling.
Now that you are expelled from my sight.
I drop to my knees and praise God for the power and might.

Wow. This poem touched me because I also battled with my demons. Yes, it was scary and I was so frightened that I couldn't breath but I fought with my faith. Good always wins. We win because we believe that. And our belief makes it possible to defeat the evil that attacks us. Love this poem.
