all my friends have said
you’ve got inside my head;
I can’t think for myself
too long upon the shelf

but I know you very well
you’re my angel, up from hell;
sometimes you’re so unkind
(my love has made me blind)

kiss me hard on the lips
and tell me you are mine;
a little lie is all I need
to savour the divine;
a little love to heal the heart
and satisfy the soul;
so much built on fantasy,
but it almost makes me whole

now all my friends have gone
and I’m feeling so alone;
but I’m slave to your caress,
so I might as well profess…

break my heart
and steal me blind
—I don’t mind
(just treat me kind).

I understand that kind of relationship. Its kinda like your addicted to that person that you know isn't good for you. "Break my heart and steal me blind-I don't mind (just treat me kind) lol That was funny because I so know that feeling.

Spikers,
Smitten, my friend, smitten!!
I remember seeing an old western movie from the 70's about mountain men, and one of the
characters said in it, and I quote .... ''A woman's bosom can be the hardest rock found.''

Tread carefully, mate.

Love this! Kind of reminds me of a song by Third Eye Blind- "Deep inside of you." "Friends say I've changed, I don't listen 'cause I live to be deep inside of you."

There's few who won't relate to this fine poem. Vulnerability is the root of our illogical trust. The desire to love and be loved is stronger than our common sense. It is often our friends who see the pitfalls and the hurt that lies ahead. We often know too, be we just can't help ourselves.
