Nursed by a monster, life took a swerve
Child's play engraved by sadistic minds
Weeping lunacy is the tie that binds

I was raised by Miss Catatonic Glazed
The more angry and crazed, the better you're praised
Where words of love spoke actions re-phrased
Shrapnel rips the heart from the gun you blazed

I grew up enveloped by aloof neglect
Gatekeepers surrounding a common suspect
An indented pattern on the road you trekked
With the stench of bodies from the lives you've wrecked

I was taught that love was always hard fought
And for the right price it could even be bought
Kindness was chased, but could never be caught
A better existence was often sought

I was made a pet of your cruelty
An early admission of your frailty
You are the host, but I became the dis-ease
When you plea for mercy, get on your knees.

This is what the true fans of the Mighty Scorpnedous PerfctoScorp have come to long for.

This poem is...is packed full of your Scorpness!

Damn, I wish I had thought of these lines!

Your voice? It has been found and doesn't seem to be lost.

Let it roll...let it roll...let it roll off the tongue because it seems where ever this flowed from it just easily flowed right on to the page.

Me

(who could just said wow)

WOW!

I of course had to revisit this one. I love what you have done here . I feel like I was on your journey with you and that our endings are alike. If it's true what you say , that love can be bought , then we are all hopeless .

Amazing write. Don't ever stop.

Huge applause once again for a gritty and powerful chunk of raw emotion.
Your voice is certainly in the words you wield and you do that so well.
Seems so effortless yet again.

I can only grasp a portion of this. Some sense of communication is lost, so I can only comment on a piece-by-piece basis, and in doing so, I may make it easier on myself to understand how I view it in whole.

The first stanza makes me think "I was born into a life that I was not, and could not(easily) be prepared for. I was raised by a mother[monster singular, single mother being far more prevalent than single full custody fathers] who was incredibly unkind/unnurturing. My youthful attempts/processes of playing to learn(in the same sense of animals' pups/cubs playing to establish understandings of social basics) who to be and who I am, was tainted by a parent[s](/mother) and in some senses hindered. Misery is the only thing that they and I have in common, and is this the only thing allowing us to bond."

The second stanza: "I was raised by a single mother who was not ambitious, productive, or in most senses successful. As long as I was like her, without being better than her, I was loved, and all the more so. Where any messages of love she had, were merely commentaries on her evaluations of her own past, and it was only hurting myself to follow suit in this attempt to win her love."

"As I got older, I felt like she began to become disinterested in me. Almost as if I was an embodiment of her own insecurities and self-struggles as far as she was concerned. I was effectively tread upon by her boots as she journeyed to learn herself, essentially decaying, no longer living a typical and sensible life."

"I was taught in this environment, that love was acquired and earned, not directly given, and in doing so, I would feel rewarded enough for it to be worthwhile, reasonable, right, and proper. The hopes of such sweet rewards were always there to be won, but never easily, nor readily available for reward for my efforts in appeasing her, the one who provided them. I then ended up longing for a better way, to gain that feeling of satisfaction that I had been looking for all this time."

"I became a person strung-along, always at the whim of her happiness, which was near-never reliable to exist, and this only went to show her constant reminiscence of her shortcomings. But someday, I'll show her that I was in such a poor situation, experience, and environment, that she will feel guilty and apologize, and then I will no longer be the one begging and pleading for forgiveness and acceptance, but instead it will be her."

Even if I'm wrong, I'm happy that I found these messages, considering more than a whole stanza escaped me the first time.
