Array ( [sid] => 177131 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Epitaph of Care [time] => 2013-11-08 17:24:53 [hometext] => My Care Manager told me that another elderly lady has just been starved to death by her daughter. Why is she not in prison? Because her mother chose not to speak out against her. [bodytext] => And I am told it is her choice
And I am told it is her voice!
And I am told it is not our responsibility
and there is nothing we can do!

Its all about choice!
The epitaph of Care.

If we talk about choice and a voice
Responsibility walks out the door with
Protection and the faceless point their fingers
In any other direction,
And I see the blood of the innocent still unwashed
Brushed across Society’s forehead in the words of the
Death Pathway Scheme, sanctioned by power to
Answer the futility of ego driven agendas channeling
The rights of those who have used their years to keep
Murderers in power,

And for what?.

To enable those who hold life in such disregard that
They take it from those who have no voice, have no
Choice but to remain loyal to the hands who slowly
Starve the flesh from the bones,

And I call down the
Empty alleyways of reporting and I shout at the moral
Doors and I yell through the letter boxes of those who
Say that this is ok!

But every sinew in my body screams from the bones of
Humanity, ’ THIS IS NOT!'

And they sit us in rows of learning to study institutional
Neglect and they sit them in rows of graves where the
Government stands hand in hand with
Premeditated murder and another life is taken.

No-one pays,
And we are in hell.

Yes, there are times that I feel we really are in hell but there are people like you in this world that convince me it may only, at least, be purgatory.

This is truly appalling. This poem is seething with horror and anger.

I also believe in the payback of karma or the vengeance of God. No matter how someone believes, believe this, everything you do will come back to you. Maybe in this life or the next, it will! We just may not get to see it ourselves.

So sorry, Anna, that you have to be a witness to this. Some people truly are horrid and if the daughter doesn't suffer from guilt, then she will certainly suffer someday. It's in the karma.

Definitely an emotional poem. ♥

Heart wrenching but it needs to be said all over planet earth and beyond.
Keep up the good work.
blessings, huggs,

Hi Anna,

Powerful words and deep deep anger in the
face of 'Man's inhumanity to Man.'' Who will
mourn this poor woman, and in their mourning
take comfort in knowing that State funds, or
anyone else's funds, will no longer be
expended for her welfare? I abhor this kind
of mindset that you're up against and I
commiserate with you. But then I am
reminded that we live in a State that is
vociferously against the culling of badgers
but not, it seems, against the 130,000
abortions performed each year in England and
Wales alone.

The value of human life is diminishing, alas.

Tommy

it is truly hateful! infuriating! my stepmom starved her mother to death via 'hospital care' and it was all for money, three weeks no food and no iv's- not only did she have her killed she got 200thousand dollars, my dad and me were sick over it, he eventually left her, but she still lives a free life and it hurts so much for the lady; rose, was the sweetest most loving person! i've held this in for years and it still hurts as much today as then, i wish everyone would just see straighten the hell up and be better people- human and caring!

hugs n' love nessa
