you deal with an important and controversial issue well and the use of language leaves a lasting impact on the reader.
i completely agree that we should have freedom over our own bodies, especially in the case of homosexuality. i can't see how what people do behind closed doors is any of the law's business if it doesn't harm or exploit anyone. a powerful poem, keep them coming, Kate x |

Powerful poem. I dont agree with using aboration for birth controll. As for the rest.......... I feel what a person does in their home is their right > Private life is just that a persons private life.

The last fifty years has witnessed a dramatic decline in Christianity in tne UK. Hundreds of churches and chapels have "disappeared",church attendance has declined to such an extent that everywhere three and four parishes have been joined into one.
But people still cling to the belief in God. although they do not practice the formalities of communal worship.
They will not go as far as denying the existance of God for if we do.......... then we lose our "immortal soul" our "ability to pray"
the devine authority for what we deem "proper behaviour" " the inferior position of women"
"the concept of sin and forgivness" etc etc.
Casting off "the chains of traditional beliefs" is comming........... but until it does, controversy will rage.

| Thank you for your comments, it is true that "bigotry" is starting to go away. However, in a country where "freedom" is suppost to be handed to everyone, homosexuals still have none. I applaud your wisdom in seeing that the church is most of the cause for this type of biggotry, however, if those who call themselves christians would actually do their homework, they would see the message of Christ is to love, not hate, and to give freedom to every man, woman, and child. Eventhough God said that homosexuality was against nature, he also said to love eachother no matter what or who they are, including your enemies. The church itself is hypocritical of it's own beliefs, which is why so many stray today. In Revelations, it was foretold of the harlot on the beast's back, hand in hand with the beast. Hear my words; the church is the harlot, who has sold herself for money and power. The beast is yet to come... or is it? Thank you again for your kind words. Until we meet again... jason |
