I set you free to be who you shall be and in yourself I hope you can be happy. Cowardice kept us together when strength should have tore us apart. Unwoven now is the fabric, the fibers have withered to perfumed dust. Come now , let us leave the past to the thieves of tomorrow . In your footsteps ,I one day hope to reluctantly follow . Bring me gifts of greatness or sing me songs of sorrow. I shall greet them identically , with nothing but time to borrow. Princess of the sidewalks as the train speeds through the stations. Queen of the mundane , entitled to everything except for her patience, her understanding . Time is fleeting, in the great rotation . A new piece of man meat to satisfy your growing starvation . Swept you off your feet , now wet in all locations . A drip to the bottom , a puddle if sweat accumulates in raw anticipation . The screams grow louder . My name fainter . The same laughter . Joking about disaster .

Interesting, as usual jyss. A rolling profundity
of words, that carry with it a uniqueness of
perspective by each and everyone who reads it.

Haunting ~

Well done, poet.
