All the troubles you have faced
Every painful blow I dealt to you
Every little scar they made

The world has thus been fortunate
To even know your name
Those knowing eyes that leave me speechless
And your perfect, lovely face

Miles between and years apart
You're still the victor of my heart

Every word you write, I take it in
I still know just who you are
Nothing to those lesser fools
But my gorgeous, shining star

Don't you ever feel you're overlooked
Please don't think that you're alone
Miles between, but I'm still here
You're a wild river, and I the stone
Inside your mind; inside your soul
You're a part of me
(The heart of me)
And together, we are whole

I may not tame your ferocious licks
Hell, I'll never tame that tide
But behind my yearning, past the lust
I'm forever by your side

You're in my head, you're all I see
You're my ever-lasting symphony
That carries every breath I breathe
To waft whispers through my memories

My desire for you will never peak
Unwritten words I cannnot speak

Yet I've a sorrow down inside my heart
To know that time has gone so fast
So with heavy conscience I depart
To avoid the ramblings of the past

Apologies that you deserve
That will never erase the wrenching hurt
The things I've done, I am not proud
The silence sounding far too loud
The blood along my history
God, Irene, I'm so sorry

Every name--I'd take it back
Every hit--I should be dead
You're everything I don't deserve
And there's so much I should have said

The way that dark hair falls in place
Contrasts your skin and frames your face
The way your eyes move in the dark
And slowly close with every arch
The way your body thrusts and bends
Every time we meet again
Shameless, yes, but still I see
The exposed angles of your body

I remember words of encouragement
You told me just to breathe
You taught me how to tame myself
How to control the inner beast

I've lived for you; I've bled for you
And I swear I'll see this through

So in the dark, I'll simply hide
Protect you from this horrid life

You're more to me than anything
Your very essence is my drug
While I'm nothing but and addict
You're the only one I'll ever love [comments] => 2 [counter] => 149 [topic] => 50 [informant] => HippieWhore [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ApologyPoetry )
