Like you've done something
Horrifyingly horrible and utterly unutterable,
Like you're dear Adolf's evil twin.

I hate you like you cursed
My mother, my father,
My sister, my brother,
My car, my house, and my dog.

You've been compassionate, patient,
Almost painfully kind,
And I've used you like air and water and dirt.

I love you almost as tenderly as you love me.
I need you almost as ardently as you need me.
I want to watch your hopes and dreams
Burn into the ash that will coat and stain my soul.

I once was here but now am there,
Once was good but now am gone,
For as I harbor such hate for you,
I find I'm lost--this path won't make it through. Wow! So many mixed emotions. Complex, sort of puzzling, and very intense. Some very very great lines!

Thanks,

Tim

Nicely done - just the right mix of bile and pathos!

Don't you hate 'em - you've got to be the dark to that light, to bury it, because it illuminates the lack of all of that in yourself - but it's not sustainable, and eventually, self-defeating.

Like you're dear Adolf's evil twin

a great line, but wasn't Adolf the bad seed?

S.

Like you're dear Adolf's evil twin.

Seems like the ultimate insult to me. :) Really gets the point across.

Alot of emotions, but nothing too extreme, didn't seem too dark, didn't seem too lovey - dovey. Really good poem. Keep writing.
