Array ( [sid] => 17692 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => A poet's love letter [time] => 2003-05-17 05:05:00 [hometext] => This poem is a love letter of a novice poet,struggling to establish himself in this
unforgiving world of poetry. [bodytext] => My sweetest darling! sweet as the virgin dew,
remember me? we met on the bus stop,
at the corner of the seedy fifth avenue,
I was that sad,dreamy guy just behind you.
Ever since I saw your dazzling face,
serene and calm like the sparkling sea,
the light of love has sprung right inside me.
I talk straight; be the light of my life,
come and be my loving,caring wife.

We will start our life in my roadside crumbling shack,
with plenty of love; money ! of course ! we will lack.
Fantasy and passion earn my living,
my world is less of saving and more of giving.
But please don't worry ! just be merry,
just keep dancing daintily on my rhytmic beats,
and pray feverishly that I soon become Wordsworth or Keats.
This world is nasty with few falling for my hook,
those publishers think my work a load of gobbledegook.
How can passions be understood by people with hearts of stone,
Come with me ! we will stay in a paradise created of our own.
Sometimes somedays though I do get a bit of accolade,
those days we can eat bread dipped in marmalade.

One last thing; do not think of me as a tramp,
just pay the postman for this letter without a stamp. [comments] => 0 [counter] => 307 [topic] => 7 [informant] => ravi [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
