Array ( [sid] => 17691 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Watching The Clocks Tick Away... [time] => 2003-05-17 04:35:00 [hometext] => Hi, this poem is inspired by the song 'Clocks' by Coldplay and also recently, felt troubled. Anyway, hope you'll read and comment on this poem. [bodytext] => The lights are fading into the darkness,
As my soul is locked within these walls
Taken hold by the tides of emotion,
Feeling confused and depressed,
With the thoughts resounding in my head,
Getting stuck in this troubled moment,
Watching the clocks tick away…

The weight is falling upon me,
My soul tries to break free,
Trying to escape the oppression,
Trying to get a glimpse of daylight,
But reality wants to play its game,
And here I am again,
Watching the clocks tick away…

My defenses are now breaking down,
This disease of illusion is clinging tight,
To the very heart of my soul,
Bringing my knees to the ground,
Praying for intervention,
As I cry my spirit out,
Watching the clocks tick away…

And longing for home again…
Watching the clocks tick away…

Hoping for the joy again…
Watching the clocks tick away…

Wishing the cure of my disease…
Watching the clocks tick away…

Watching the clocks… tick away…

Your poem is a-one rated

I like to make a funny quote
It's hard because of what you wrote,
But LUCK, I can always send
To a new and hard-pressed friend...

Great write, no matter how heavy the words sound.
