Array ( [sid] => 176850 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Precious Child [time] => 2013-09-12 12:56:11 [hometext] => although i have never lost a child this poem poured out of my heart after seeing a memorial video on youtube called born sleeping [bodytext] => The best moment of my life was when I heard of you.
Sitting in the doctors office he smiled and gave the news.
You were growing in my tummy all snug and warm.
I swore I would always protect you, you would never come to harm.
The months went by, my tummy grew.
I couldn't wait to meet you.
We bought clothes and diapers, a carseat and a crib.
We got our home ready for you to come and live.
A week before my due date I knew something was wrong.
I couldn't feel you moving, I knew that you were gone.
My heart began to break, the tears began to run,
I lost you before I had you my precious little one.
After the delivery I cuddled you so close.
How do you say goodbye to the one you love the most?
It was so hard to drive away from the hospital all alone.
Knowing, MY LITTLE ANGEL, I could not take you home.
So now I ask Lord Jesus,
Please take care of my child.
Let him know his mommy loves him,
And I'll join him in a while. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 121 [topic] => 39 [informant] => crogers8521 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )
