There is an emptieness in your eyes.
One I have not seen before.
Tell me what I did
Before you walk out that door.

Was it something that I said?

Ouch... I feel the words. Sometimes things are written so well the soul is laid bare and feelings are conveyed for all those who are fortunate enough to have read them. You have achieved that with this poem...

You are so right! I know exactly what you are talking about! How fleeting love can be!
