Array ( [sid] => 176775 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Path [time] => 2013-08-25 17:40:53 [hometext] => A poem I wrote for my uncle who does not have long to live. I don't know whether to show it to him or any family so feedback and suggestions are greatly appreciated! [bodytext] => This is just a note to say,
What you will leave behind.
A simple way to express
How we feel inside.

Your body may say it's near the end,
To allow time to grieve.
There's no need, as I know
Your soul will never leave.

You have marked a path for us
To follow and explore.
This path will guide us to a view
Of a beachy shore.

As we walk, we'll carry you
In our hearts and dreams
Seeing parts of you everywhere
- The sun, wind and streams.

For a while our cheeks will be stained,
Until your soul and the sky combine
And here we'll see your vibrant colours
Until the end of time.

Your loving voice will also stay,
And the jokes that are never too far!
The only voice that we will hear,
When we speak to the stars. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 148 [topic] => 65 [informant] => linadr [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )

Your words gave me goosebumps of hope and love. Yes, you should share it with him and your family. What hope and love it will give to him, to know how much he is loved and will continue to be loved. Very great write of inspiration, hope and faith, P

I think I would read it to him. I'm sure he wold luv the thoughts and feelings. It's the little things that mean the most. IT'S A VERY TOUCHING write. It will probably bring tears but just weep with him It will be a healing weeping for both of you.
Huggs, blessings,
emy
