Sorrow and pain in the air
My reflection staring back at me
You would think I would be happy, now that I'm free

When happiness seems like a far away place
Memories come to the surface that I just can't erase

I'm trying my best to forget about you
How, I don't have a clue
the emptiness inside me is overwhelming
Sometimes I dream of a happy ending
And when I wake up it tears me to pieces

Am I alive
Or just breathing?

An invisible rope around my neck
It's you and your memories
That tighten it with each step
I can't breath
Why did you have to leave?

You give love
Then take it away
I'm wondering
Why I ever thought that you would stay

Am I alive
Or just breathing?

Now the rain soaks my clothes
Like tears did my pillow
Forever waiting for the rainbows
That were supposed to come after the storm

The rope around my neck
Tightening with each step

Am I alive

Standing there
Sorrow and pain in the air

sometimes it doesn't even feel like I am breathing... It will get better it will get easier.
