I swallowed my pride once again, and begged you do and to say
Something, anything, to give me the strength to stay.
Your words are always beautiful, but your actions betray them, and I was forced to go away.

You said your plan, just the other day, was to shift lives and spare me pain.
Then more pain came in a much bigger way, was your plain all in vain?
Because you just gave up the fight, so cold and final last night.
My heart has embarked on another painful flight.

When this began, in what feels like a lifetime ago.
I pleaded with myself not to fall in love with you afraid that it would cause me woe
But you wore me down and my heart did go, to the place I pleaded with it not to go.
And now in the midst of summer it sits alone in the cold and frozen snow.

So many signs the universe sent, to both of us they were meant.
How can you ignore such obvious signs, of a love that could withstand the test of time?
Now I am here and you are there, two hearts are broken and in disrepair.
Twin Flames is what I believe us to be, the one that everyone searches for on their life’s journey.

In the crisis stage we have passed, to be runners on this path.
I pray to the universe in all of its splendor to guide our souls into surrender.
And lead us to a place where we should undoubtedly be,
And live together in love's Radiance and Harmony.

From the first “I love you Sweetie” I was yours, even though our love stayed behind closed doors.
I trusted that you would handle my heart gently, I gave it to you trepidation, but I knew it was yours.
I still don’t believe that our love is wrong, but I will find a way to be strong
I will pass slowly, my love, to a world without you so lonely and wrong.

I just have to ask, before I take on the task
Why where you irresponsible with my heart, did you pull it in only to rip it apart?

You've wrapped lovely words around what i'm sure is a painful subject.
I also loved the way you plead to the Universe, as opposed to God as most people would in their writing.
Nice angle.
Well done

Steve
