[hometext] => The feeling that we call joy
[bodytext] => A simple being's act of giving, And a human's voluntary seeing and hearing, Makes the heart go Oh boy! A feeling that we call joy. How good an astronomer feels, On seeing Bellatrix hold a lion's head on Orion's heels, And when the old bless a boy, It is a feeling that we cal joy. When Thomson discovered the secret of light, And when a child gets a pastry's bite, When Archimedes discovered buoy, It is a feeling a feeling called joy. Giving the underprivileged food and water, The discovery of particulate matter, When Columbus lead to America Ahoy! It is a feeling called joy. Do good and get good from others, So that we get blessings from our father and mother, And let this goodness be strong as alloy, A feeling that we call joy. ----------------------------------------------------------O------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [comments] => 1 [counter] => 178 [topic] => 54 [informant] => vrr [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => happypoetry )
