I used to be the desert rose
wandering around a hot dry desert
hot sand burning between my toes.

I longed for the rain to come
a cleansing for my thirst.
If per chance the sky would burst
off to dance in the rain Id go.

Now I live where the rain is plenty.
I saw the clouds tonight.
Then they burst and Heavens opened
I thought for moments, dance in the rain, just because?

Living in the city, it may be a sight
so instead I sat and watched the drops
never once leaving the front step.
But as the puddles pooled,
and the tempest beat like a drum.
It evoked the raindancer I once was

I wanted to dance in the rain just because...

There will be another night
for the rains are always here
maybe a city raindancer?
I wanted to dance in the rain. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 173 [topic] => 43 [informant] => shelby [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Beautiful, girl friend.
You would probably have others dancing with you but then there are spoil sports that don't know how to have fun.
smiles,
emy

Beautiful, absolutely love it. I could image you being the rain dancer too.
