Let not one float away

Contained emotions
Overspill with empathy
Virtue on hold
Pleasantries on delay
A cacophony of spiritual sounds
The moans and groans
Kept her at bay
Not one tear was found
On the ground
Where she stood stoically
Yet refused to stay

Disassembled factory
Churning out the desperate pleas
Crying shoulders
Bring a grown man down to his knees
He sees his love is in need
Of something righteous to feed
A hungry soul bleeds
From lifeless fortunes
Stolen by greed
Freed from its shackles
Sent off to do battle
Murdered in his sleep
A bucket of solitude
Keeps the peace

The brilliance of this universe
Is that it always entices
Invites us
To take a bite of
The forbidden apple
A serpent unravels
A wicked plan
To corrupt the honest
Pervert the innocent
Seclude the masses
Turn the pacifist
Into the the antagonist
The aggressor is born
Lives are torn
How sad is this ?

A being has been
When his time has run up
His cup is filled when it overflows from his gut
The feeding from within
Confuses this slippery knot
My head beat in
I have forgotten you not
The boxer wins
A bout of sin
Holds me down
I give up

A disappointing effort
The battle has been decided
Admitting the hurt
They all watch for weakness
Walk alone in the dark
Reminiscent of the child who breaths
A premonition I accept
It is I who who must leave

This is exactly along the lines of what I only wish my poetry could be...Bursting at the seams with emotion and begging to be discussed over a pot of coffee. When I foolishly try to imitate your stunning work it comes out as watered down fountain pop (soda?). You're the real Coca-Cola. :)

Thank goodness you did not leave, and don't you dare hint at it again!

I will take your advice but you must too-

"Don't ever stop".
