This is about those people and wondering if you will ever meet again [bodytext] => The cold, empty chamber of night stares back at me
Yet I am not searching the cavernous black sky for stars or moon glimmer
But looking past, deep in the mind's eye where memories pour into the void
And fill my head with deep rich colours of a cherished past

There I will find you, eyes close to draw your silhouette into clearer vision
As you were before, the mind becomes the sight and yields the photograph
But arms cannot hold emptiness, cannot pull you closer to feel your heartbeat
Two hands pressed to the glass at the window of a train, touching yet not

I can only rewind and replay, not move the stills forward to the present
What has life bestowed on you since our clock ticked to a stop
In the dreamtime, the pale half light of morning you walk beside me
As the movie clicks from pause to play and we run another scene

There's a jigsaw here incomplete, lost to be found or never to return?
If I shout in the dark will you hear or will echo be the unanswered message
Coming back to taunt me, to mock me for clinging on to hope
That one day instead of all these lucid thoughts, we will really meet again. hey hey puppy dog eyes,
You got it going in this write.
Know exactly what you talking 'bout.
I try really fast not to do that to myself any more. Cause she more than likely moved on and your the one left dreaming.
Great work, my friend.

Big huggss, smiles, blessings,
emy

Affairs of the heart taking us to the darkness, love to bind together or leave us eternally broken looking for a miracle to mend what cannot be mended in all but a handful of lucky souls who have their prayers answered. You have taken us on that journey down corridors of dreams and hopes, of searching, and its great to hear your voice again and as with any true poet who is humble enough to expose their heart, a true connection.

Your words mimic the world my mind lives in recently. How I pray to live in the dreamtime...

Thank you for finding the words.

"There's a jigsaw here incomplete"

That is so impossibly profound. It appears to be
just a few simple words, but damn! So much can
be taken from it. It pierced my heart so deeply I
fear not to recover.

Wonderful writing, here, poet.

We all all travelling on a train.
some people get on with you and stay for a while, then they get off at the next station and new ones appear and sometimes they stay for the whole journey.
Those we meet along our journey, we either learn something from them or they learn something from us.
Memories to be treasured forever.
I hope our train journey, we stay on the same train as you are my mentor and my great friends.

xx
