Toss of the coin, happiness or strife
Greet the day as you spin your webs
Float in the direction each wave ebbs

A strong young man, a future so bright
Plans of life, love, happiness in his sight
Taken so quickly in an act so destructive
Hearts destroyed; only God can forgive

Hearts beg to understand the cruel why
The soul can't process why the heart cries
So much left for him to accomplish, dream
How can his end fit in with this life's scheme?

A young man of character, a heart of gold
A quick wit that never seemed to grow old
A hard worker that would give his all to you
Without him, what is the world left to do?

He now walks among the angel's footsteps
He's earned his wings with no earthly regrets
Too young to be added to Heaven's roster
Called by God to be one of HIs amazing sailors

Dance with the angels on clouds of love
Watch over us from your post up above
Forever we keep your memory in our stories
As you are heralded Home to your final glory [comments] => 2 [counter] => 131 [topic] => 52 [informant] => dvtpdw [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => goodbyepoetry )

Wow! What a beautiful dedication. I'm sure he's looking down and watching over his family and friend. My heart goes out to them....

A sad story, yet a fitting tribute.
Some lives end way too soon, some flowers never get the chance to bloom.
Reminds me of my cousin who died at just 19.
Still, our memories keep them alive.

Steve
