The masses followed my journey, with words of praise I found a calling,
I was never gifted a grand vocabulary, but what I had was passion to tell my stories,
A young kid raw and in his teens, Puppy love bite me and poetry grew within me,

I would write what I saw, how I felt, my emotions became my ink and upon the paper they would melt,
Phases and lines mixed together to form poetic rhyme,
I’ve written poems that make people think, laugh and cry, poems of love and heartbreaking goodbyes,
I've written poems of war, peace, life and death, poems of emotions and amazing sex,

But here I sit, pen in hand, ready to write again,
So where do I start, I can look to the past, draw upon memories and unfinished tasks,
Or I can dig within my own soul, unleash the heart and let him go,
May my words find flight and direction, allow them to land upon the hearts of those thought lost and forgotten,

I'm called the innovator of thought, a simple man with a God giving gift to write with a pen in hand,
I do not place myself upon a pedestal; I'm merely a common man, who would give his life to defend this land,
I've been to war, I've carried caskets with my brothers and sisters in them,
Gone from this world they may be, but within my heart they live eternally,

I know these words have rattled on, and upon my death my stories will live on,
I'm a speck upon this great world, a fading pulse of poetic words,
My blood is the ink, and the ink is my blood, one day the ink will run dry so this is for all that I love,
Chase your dreams, live life to the fullest, so upon that final day you can say, life was worth it.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

You are but a speck yet you are a speck that stands out from the rest of us in my opinion. You've been through a lot and I have a lot of respect for you. Your writing is great and I am never disappointed when you grace us with your gift. This poem is no exception. Keep it up.

Thank you.

Tim
