Che sia cuore della paese,
La città di che sogno
Per oggi giorno in mia vita!
O fonte di poete, degna di lode
Viva oh viva, gran maestosa:
Ogni fianco di tue strade
È fragrante con vita e caffè.
Bramo per i tuoi cieli azzuri,
E le memorie che sia la tua storia,
Mi piace le statue ed i muri,
Le regge che splendera in te!
O Dea del gran signor l’Arno
I tuoi duomi echiese sono ricco
In sassi bianchi e sano,
Loro brillano nel mezzogiorno.
Ed amo il sole che luccia, qua
Come l’opera di tuoi orafi;
Sulla superficie dell’acqua
Che sussura sopra il Ponte Vecchio.

Firenze, Firenze! città sacrosancta,
Cuore di pieni della Toscana-
Ah, io piango perchè mi fai matta

Sia lode a te, o Giglio
Che sia cuore della paese,
La città di che sogno
Per oggi giorno in mia vita!
O fonte di poete, degna di lode
Viva oh viva, gran maestosa:
Ogni fianco di tue strade
È fragrante con vita e caffè.
