Such a simple poem. If I did this, if I did that... If you asked now, if you asked then...
I think that I can feel the change in your attitude through this piece of writing. I can't
say that I know what you're talking about except for a different time in your life,
and I don't know how you have grown or even what you've been through, but that's
the lovely mystery. Poems touch people in different ways. If you look at the relationship between
an author and a reader it's wonderful.... it's real. It's a connection, even if you know nothing but the words
put before you. I guess what I'm telling you is thank you. Thank you for sharing. And I'm happy that
you've found your smile, because I'm sure it's beautiful. We all question what life might be like had we
done something in our past differently. But you wouldn't be who you are today if you had done just one
thing differently, I truly believe that.
"If I'd said sorry back then, I wouldn't be here now." So be happy you didn't say sorry then,
maybe you wouldn't have found your smile.

Very nice - Overall good phrasing, with a couple misspellings I think (stayed away?). The subject matter - how one's path can change with different actions or reactions... Nice! Blessings, SF
