Just so you know your smile is glistening
But your laughter seems ever distant
Like you avoided me in an instant
I see you but you, and we speak
But our friendship grows weak
I want to tell you how I feel
I want you to know, my love is real
You live three houses down
When I see you, I dont see a frown
Where are you going
Please don't leave me, my tears are flowing
I know that we can be together
But our friendship is under the weather
We used to talk all the time
Now in your silence, I hear a chime
Telling me I need to

Ah yes. Been there myself. It can cause an unraveling. You really do have the emotion down - I can almost see a wistful onlooking while the neighbor leaves in the car with someone else. Sad. But good for you that you can get an emotion down on paper that other people can understand, poet!
Blessings, SF

Yet another beautiful piece. I am growing to very much admire your work. Your style is so honest and emotional. Great read.
