alone is all I feel
Waiting for so long
for my loneliness, someone to steal

I occasionally see you walking
you always pass me by
My heart beckons a hello
but you never even say hi

Tear drops start to form
on the soul inside of me
If only I could look in
I would surely see

Always so quiet
not wanting to open up and speak
So many things I want to say
but I have a spirit that’s so meek

Just once I wish
a look from you I would get
Then I would offer a lovely smile
and some words without regret

It’s been too long being lonely
from this world I want to be free
Please look at me when passing by
your lovely eyes I want to see

Yet I remain in my lonely world
having a spirit that cries with sorrow
I’ll be waiting in my special place
where you’ll walk by tomorrow

If my spirit lets me
I will wipe its tears away
I will open up my world
and find some words to say

I hope you won’t hurt me
and push me back in my shell
I won’t know unless I try
there’s just no way to tell

I enjoyed the poem it was a beautiful tribute to unspoken love but you should not just rhyme words to rhyme them it destroys the integrity of the poem

If you get a chance listen to Stevie Wonder's "Hey Love"

"Hearing your footsteps
I hurry to catch your eye
but as i stand there waiting girl
you just walk on by. . ."

This is how I relate to poems i like by comparing them. Emotionally this poem is there.
