as the sun slowly fades away
Only to rise again in the morning
creating another blessed day

The colors are so beautiful
as they blend with the clouds in the sky
Sometimes it is unbelievable
to the naked eye

As slow as the sun fades away
darkness evades those beautiful colors in the sky
Wanting the coming of the dark to wait
is something we can’t deny

Something out of our control
accepting it is all we can do
If it could be controlled
I would have reached out and grabbed it for you

Tomorrow is another day
the sun will shine again so bright
Maybe there will be
another beautiful and colorful sky again before night

Early in the morning
bright colors will again invade the sky
It will take over the darkness
and we don’t even question why

Dear darkness
it is not that we despise your quest
You really must know
the sunshine is purely the best

So invade our sun
and all the beautiful colors in the sky
They will only be back tomorrow
knowing this relieves me with a sigh
