like I’ve heard a thousand times before
Little did I know
it was the last time she would walk out that door

Never even thinking
it was the last time to say goodbye
Never even thinking
she would never again say hi

Still calling my name
is what I hear in my mind
Turning around to look
nobody behind the voice to find

Tears build up
as I realize she is gone
I look out the window
and see her standing on the lawn

The pain sets in
as I realize the voice will fade away
She has gone to heaven
and there she will have to stay

Dear Lord you have taken her
my heart broken and torn in two
I know it was not in anger
it was what you had to do

We really love and miss her
wanting her back to love and cherish
Our daughter, such a loving soul
we had no idea she was about to perish

To my dear daughter
with all the love from my heart
Your memory will always be with us
even though this world you had to part

“Dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one”

your poem truly expresses how each & everyone of those who have lost a very special person feel like..
