dreaming of flying I always did
Those were the best dreams I ever had
those dreams when I was just a kid

I would just run
and jump up into the air
Watching all the people below me
as they would stop and stare

The talk of the town
as people wondered who I was
I would fly so high
or sometimes low and past the people I would buzz

It was the greatest feeling
so free just flying about
It was only a dream
but the best dream I don’t doubt

It has been a long time
since I had a dream that I could fly
There was a reason why I had them
only I don’t know why

That special feeling
of running and jumping into the air
I miss that feeling of flying away
without having any fear

Oh dear dreams of when I was just a child
please come back to me, I miss you so
The memory of you is fading
I don’t want to let you go

Take me for one last flight
make it a dream come true
Again a dream of flying
making my old memories all new

I will be waiting for you dear dream
as I am sleeping in my bed
Lets bring back those memories of flying
that run around in my head

I had dreams of being able to fly when I was a child too. in one of them, I was being chased by the Three Stooges and they were in black & white when everything else was in color in that dream.

Anyways, thank you for an enjoyable read. Brought back memories and I appreciate that.
