An ignored and forgotten name.
Lots in the sea of pieces,
It's swallowed within the flame.
…Your love…

The crinkles around your eyes,
The dimples I could see.
The sound of your laughter,
You once smiled at me.

Days are running short,
Time is winding fast,
Before I pack my belongings,
And leave from your sight at last.

I'm sure that's what you want,
I'll trouble you no more.
I'm sorry I'm such a burden,
I'm sorry you had ever loved me before.

You know deep down that I love you,
And appreciate everything you do.
But with the silence between us,
I'm not sure that you still love me, too…

I thank you for the care that you've given,
And the tears that you've wept.
I thank you for the hard work that you've endured,
And for the pain and for all the sweat.

You'll always be in my heart,
The one I slip to call "Dad".
I'll always remember your smile,
And the special times that we've had.

But... now it's gone within the mist,
Grace… an ignored and forgotten name.
Lost in the sea of broken pieces,
It's swallowed within the flame.

It's gone within the mist,

Wow. That was... wow. Hmmm. Well, I know I haven't commented on a poem in a while, but then again, you haven't written one in a while. Well, at least you still vent when you have to. This was a good poem, and I hope that things work out between you and your father. I dunno. It never really seems fair that these kind of things happen to someone like you. Well, hmmm... I dunno what else to say. But, I guess words can't really do a whole lot, anyway. I dunno. Here's hoping you see happier days, Grace. Take care.
