Let the world end
and we are all gone
at the speed of light
just like skyfall
it's coming down
my heart races
my body shiveres
pacing so fast
the cheater in me growls
searching for a place to hide
an abode to shield her
from the imminent doom
i found none
hiding places prowling
for who to run to
so much thoughts
pacing through my brains
colliding so hard
seems like an explosion
a huge sound from Iraq
so scared i am
a sudden flash
from Hiroshima i see
Boom! and empty i go
switching in and out
of coma in milliseconds
and my head whispers
if the sky falls
we are all involved
the universe crashing
no one is cheated
all is affected
whether rich or poor
black or white
the Religious, the pagan
even the greens
and the colorless
continental and oceanic
and all therein
wow! my brain shifts
like an auto transmission
downshifting to reality
muttering so loudly;
after here, what next?
then it dawns on me
there's a life again
after death they say
so many mistakes
my past my enemy
so little a time
to make things right
here i resign
to fate i bow
exhaustion fast approaching
need save some energy
for the place i call next
where the soul heads
when the body is gone
just two things in life
so constant they are
we die to live
we live to die
hoping for the best
while expecting the worst. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 360 [topic] => 73 [informant] => femyed [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract )
