that the thoughts seem to come around.
Rain streaming the windows
it seems the only sound.

The emotions stir and tumble
a little here and there.
Yes tis true when they say it
at times this life just isn't fair.

In the midst of these moments
it's still ok for tears to fall at times
there is no limit on mourning
and at times no comfort there is to find.

It's because we just are missing you
even though a few months have passed.
Once in awhile we think the missing,
may forever more always last.

So it's mixing in the rainstorm
that haunts this darkly city night
and for now, right now its just ok
though it still at times doesn't feel right.

It's because we feel what we feel
and in a moment it may pass
but for this second frozen in time
it will stay as it is, just last

maybe it's just the rainstorm......
maybe it's just because [comments] => 6 [counter] => 220 [topic] => 48 [informant] => shelby [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Great thinking!!!! And I so agree. I was told once, "people die, get over it." That ***** me off and made me feel even worse.

Thank you for a great read, Shal.

Love,

Me

Rain Nature's catalyst for bringing peace to the soul and welcome release, the confusion of sorrow and again finding permission to feel the way we do.The journey of grief cuts a lonely path and its only empathic writing such as yours that for that moment gives illumination and connection.
