where lightning struck and somehow froze,
a tempest caught in slowing time,
where even sunlight fears to shine,

come hopeless thought... cascading storm,
and drift upon... an ocean... torn,
come slip into... this endless silence,
dreams will stop... in muted violence,

and yet light shines... upon these crags,
come avalanche... to rip and drag,
to tumble upon earth so cold,
to rip the trees and make them fold,

a mountain falls... to clash with fire,
crashing snow... amid desire,
it comes to bring down storms of rain,
yet calm will live inside the pain,

Soft as snow... warm as fire,
to lift my sorrow... in endless spire,
drink in sadness... let it flow,
and in that cold black river... grow,

light sparkling on the surface glows,
to break upon your silent foe,
wrap him soft... with precious care,
slowly healing what was there,

a grip so soft... no touch can feel,
yet when it's there... you know it's real,
let sorrow drift... upon the stream,
release your woes... into the dream.

I love the beautiful nature imagery and the sense of rhyming which adds a nice resonance. i feel the sense of emotional resolution from the initial pain towards peaceful acceptance.

Powerful images cascading through the lines like a torrent of thought.
I found this really powerful and I'm glad I read it.

Good work.
