A deep rooted discontent to all that I do now,
I am as unhappy as I am indifferent,
I have been told happiness is a choice,
Yet it seems I am unable to make that decision
Do I even want to be happy?
Do I somehow feel I don't deserve it?
I want to not only see my glass as half full but to merely be happy for the fact I have the cup it's self,
I want the warm glow to fill my heart again,
I want the blissful euphoria of joy.
I want to fill the void
I want to be happy. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 220 [topic] => 14 [informant] => TheDreamer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DreamsandWishes )

Hi Dreamer,

Love this one! You ask the same questions I ask myself. (We are so unique! chuckles all "round!).

You may have seen it, or maybe not, but I wrote a little piece of similar nature, called "Ye' Old Question on that Wascally Glass". I hope you read it. It won't help you in any way, but it's a nice bookend to your poem.

As always, I enjoy your musings and especially thank you for your thoughtful notes in messages. Let's keep it up! I much enjoy the flow of converse with you.

Invierno
