The situation's scary

and the citizens are wary

as we're slippin even closer to the brink

just hangin by our nails

hearin politician's rails

Not makin much progress one might think

The Democrats are huffin

The Republicans are puffin

Waitin for one another to be first blink

Posturing partisan politicin

posin party position bickerin

Just can't get their petty politics in sync.

So we're about to go a tumble

Over a fiscal cliff just by bumble

Unless some elected egos start to shrink.

Some say it's just of money

but we hoi polloi are funny

concludin this political fiaso's startin to stink.

We're all in this together

Party right or left whichever

NOW! There's only time for sensible bethink!

we sort of lost meaning of money in terms of economic incertitude. Before there was this time before the meaning of money appeared. It was something most had little of when we made our own bread, clothes, homes. A wage today is something you get, it's meritocracy mostly unearned true and blue. The folks who worked all their lives harder than we might imagine and had so little to show. People say they don't want to support people they do not know. We lose the article of faith, we lose I suppose who we should be because we can't see past a concept we mostly don't really know. We're the same. We want the same things.
Thanks for speaking about this odd topic poop. It's a topic we just can't explain. None of us.

Peace!

Hi Poop, I am impressed you took up this topic. I understand why my (God Bearer) was not yopur cup of tea, but thank you just the same for fine comment.
As to the fiscal cliff it has be building since a long time, the absnce of accontability, gross mate rialism, and lots of people who are quite pleased with a hand-out from the cradle to the grave. unstead of honest work are to blame. Politicians alone can not bring us down so far. It is more farreaching. Too many "Dolce Vita" flowers, and willing Welfare Queens and Lords is a question of morality and values and the lack lack. Why self-reliance, if you can only hold the hand out?
Thank you thereof.for posting thos.
Blessings
Elizabeth
