[time] => 2012-12-30 07:02:58 [hometext] => this is written in the memory of nirbhaya (23 years) who died of multiple organ failure due to being gang raped by 6 men in a moving bus and then being brutally injured by iron rods *RIP brave soul. your death shall not go in vain. India will fight back!* [bodytext] => where do we live?
a country where
right to equality
is no more effective,

where a girl has to think twice
before walking down the street
just because someone out here
might call it a treat,

where her mind
is heavy with fear
and a helping hand
nowhere near,

where we are run by a government
to which money matters more
than saving a girl
being raped by four,

where her fate
the society decides
be it young students
or female foeticides,

where all our protests
go in vain
and efforts
run down the drain,

where the blood of an innocent
stains their hand
and this is what
they define as grand,

it is time.
The people should by now be awake
because next it may be
their child at stake,

there is a role
we all have to play
we have to save our women
come what may,

for,
a woman is a figure so holy
who loves truly
and indiscriminately,

the reason for our existence
she should not be tortured
but,
should be treated as equally as men! [comments] => 3 [counter] => 133 [topic] => 31 [informant] => simrankapoor [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => StoryPoetry )

This is heart wrenching. May God have mercy on us all.
I know it had to be hard to write this.
Things are going nuts every where these days.
Blessings, prayer,
emy

I wanted to comment on this again. I hadn't heard the news when I first read this. I am happy to know that your people are standing up and demanding to be treated equal.
I can't imagene a place that allowed things like this.
I just want you to know that you'll have been in my prayers and thoughts. May all that have sufferd from this lose be blessed and comforted, in love.
