in lifes daily challenge
I somehow failed to see
the most precious part of life
that means so much to me

listening to his stories
how he's gonna be like dad
knowing he is everything
my life has ever had

I truly miss you so much
& I know you miss me too
& the love we hold inside of us
will stand forever true

so when you go to bed
try with all your might
to see me there with you
& I will hold you tight

I love you very much
so this much I will say
we can never lose our faith
& love will find a way

I love you very much Austin Roy Andrews
always your dad Roy Randolph Andrews AKA(thehotshotpoet)

Man, i have never met you, other than being friends on here. It is amazing how we share the same life, but from different parts of the world. I just wrote a poem about my son too, but from a much different perspective than you, because my son is talking about taking his own life. I certainly share your burden and emotions and know how you feel. I can honestly say it is an honor to be friends with another poet that can share such wisdom and golden words! This poem you wrote made me shed tears, even when i am a man. It only shows that your poetry has emotion and can be heartfelt. Great job! I certainly pray to God you get your son back soon. Waynster.
