Just sit alone at a street corner and be amazed as the people just walk by you, without uttering a word. Not an “its ok”, or a hug to make you feel better.
As far as they’re concerned it was your fault and you’re trash!
Don’t bother crying like the man with HIV because of a bad syringe, who lost all his family and friends because of his “condition.”
Nor should you scream for help like the promiscuous, battered and abused woman who cares nothing for her body since it was disrespected since her childhood;
But longs for a true love not just for one night.
It’s not hard to be invisible. Just let people tell you you’re nothing and accept those words.
Once that is done, sit alone at a lunch table and watch as people go about their lives and love on each other and wonder why, none come by to offer you to their table because you seem to be in a distressed state of mind.
It's not hard to be invisible. Just be different and expose people for who they are, and watch them swiftly back away from you... No one wants to hear the truth, especially cause it hurts. When people are forced to look in the mirror of their shame and forced to see their past they don't don't like it. I don't like it either but its the one thing necessary for the healing of the heart.
One thing I've learned in this life is that people will talk, but don't give a damn about them because they don't give a damn about you anyway. Their actions are done out of fear and they don't want any trouble with anyone so pay them no mind.
It's not hard my friends to be invisible, but its harder to have a voice in this voiceless, fearful, skeptical generation. Don't be afraid to stand for what is unacceptable. Be bold, be courageous and be rebels to society. Do it in humility and love. Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
