Who am I to mention how
when I couldn't fix it if I tried?

My heart is breaking when I see
a laughing girl, smiling with me
I can see beneath and tell
It's just a shroud to hide her hell

Inside her eyes, the coldest tale
A flash of light, one love wasted
Who I am to forge the trail
when I can't be the one to replace it?

The tears are blooming deep within
She holds them back and then pretends
So I play my part by the scripts
Acting like I don't see her trembling lips

God, she lost something that once was true
She takes her clothes off and she's at my side
But who am I to hold on to

The riddles speak so clearly now

great write, very powerful piece, I loved the way everything flowed so naturally. Keep writing
