[hometext] => A largely sad and whimsical poem based loosely upon some of Vincent Starrett's work..
[bodytext] => This sea rolls coldly. I shall soar High above that headland there, And leave behind this scarlet shore, And all its necromantic air. My lover sent me ranging far, To distant Futures, silent Pasts, I move with witch and avatar, Beyond the nighted frozen vasts. My lover’s eyes like burning strobes Have pierced me with her magic art, Her eyes are gray and potent globes That long have chained my wayward heart. The sea rolls coldly. I shall soar High above that headland there, And leave all as it was before, With all its necromantic air.
