[bodytext] => I do love to sleep and dream, Once out I am serene, Lost in a world that I design, Of mystery and illusion incarnate, Beneath covers, impatiently I wait. I do love to sleep and dream, Unique, I find my nightly scene, Each day excited, down I lay, Covers up, I close my eyes, Anxious to meet the lies. I do love to sleep and dream, And leave this world of not so green, Only this can numb the pain, Shut out the truth of reality, And its inherent brutality. I do love to sleep and dream, But less and less I like the scene, I think that I've lost what once I had, And all this time I was away, Alone in darkness, there I lay. I do love to sleep and dream, But more and more awake I scream, The world is bleak and loves me not, But to deny its truth cements my fate, A fickle life, a lonely state.
