Array ( [sid] => 174100 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Fire's Kiss [time] => 2012-10-25 13:22:57 [hometext] => I really like fire, if you can't tell. It could almost be a religion. This was one of the easiest poems to write because I am so passionate about the subject matter and fire is poetic all by itself. [bodytext] => The embodiment of destruction
Silky, red seduction
Waves of curling golden threads
Nothing, but a hiss and crackle is said
A language known only to the fiery sprites
The embers floating like vengeful knights
Searing marks betraying their path
Ever spreading in their relentless wrath
Protection from the burning death is futile
Uncatchable as smoke, with a spirit’s wile
Respect the whirling, clamoring tendrils
Or run the risk of losing yourself to the scorching devils
Fingers with a soft caress
Finally in a blaze your soul can rest
Death and beauty intertwined
The siren’s call for a pyro-lover’s demise

The essence of fire captured so well with your words. Very nice!
